VALDOSTA — Mr.  and Mrs. Kevin Ladson Golden, Sr.  of Valdosta, announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Foster Golden of Seattle Wash., to Christopher Stephen Brown of Seattle Wash., son of Dr.  and Mrs. John Stephen Brown, Jr.  of Shoreline, Wash.

The wedding is planned to be held at 4 p.m. May 7, 2016 at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Wash., with the reception to follow at The Fremont Foundry in Seattle, Wash.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Newton Williams, Jr.  of Glenn, Ga.,  and the late Mr. and Mrs. Theron Alexander Golden of Sylvester, Ga. 

The bride-elect  holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.; Master of Arts in Counseling-Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle, Wash. She is employed as a Senior Sales Readiness Manager at Tableau Software in Seattle, Wash. 

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Harvey Mills of Wenatchee, Wash., and the late Rev. and Mrs. John S. Brown, Sr. of Richmond, Va.

The groom-elect holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in  Economics and Political Science at the University of Washington in Seattle, Wash. He is employed as an Independent Consultant currently at Microsoft.
