SENOIA, Ga.— Mr. and Mrs. Michael Goggin announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Ann Goggin, of Griffin, Ga., to Derrick Lee Cook, of Griffin, Ga., son of Elaine Douglas Grice of Valdosta, Ga., and Randy Cook, of Lanier County, Ga.
The wedding will take place Nov. 12, 2016, at The Peach Barn at TimberMill Acres, Tifton, Ga.
The future bride is the granddaughter of James and Doris Goggin of Lake City, Fla., the late Fredrick Layman and the late Sue Layman of Lake Worth, Fla., the late Bill Payne and Leilani Payne of West Palm Beach, Fla.
The bride-elect is a graduate of East Coweta High School in Sharpsburg, Ga. and attended Valdosta State University before returning home to continue pursuing her legal studies. She is employed as a Contract Administrator for F.S. Scarbrough Civil Engineering, LLC in Fayetteville, Ga.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Gordon Webb and the late Dottie Lee Webb of Nashville, Ga., the late Leroy Cook and Jeanette Cook of Lakeland, Ga. and Jack and Carolyn Douglas of Ocala, Fla.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Berrien High School in Nashville, Ga. and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Economics from Valdosta State University. He is currently pursuing his MBA at Mercer University. He is employed as a Senior Accountant for Armal, Inc. in Griffin, Ga.
