Mr. Hubert A. Lawson, 96,  a native of Mayo, Florida, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, after a lengthy illness. He had retired from Dolly Madison Furniture Company and had resided in Sneads, Florida 48 years. He was also a U S Army Veteran of WW II and a member of Salem Wesleyan Church.

Hubert is survived by his three daughters, Windle Edenfield (Dwayne) of Tallahassee, Florida, Shirley Eaton (Donald) of Ft. Myers, Florida and Jennifer Lawson Grantham (Billy) of Sneads, Florida;  two brothers, Marvin Lawson and James Lawson (Shirley), all of Mayo, Florida; also 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Juil Lawson and his sisters, Margaret Lawson, Annie Mae Anderson, Randy Nettles, and Doris Scott,  his daughter, Melva Parramore,  his son, Allen Lawson Jr. and three grandchildren.

Visitation with the family took place one hour before funeral services, 10 till 11 a.m. CST, Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, followed by funeral services at 11, Salem Weslyan Church, Sneads, Florida. Rev. Bill Pevy, Rev. Jack Howell and Rev. Wesley Wickard officiated the services. Committal and interment services followed at Salem Weslyan Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem Weslyan Church Building Fund,  2764 Salem Church Road,  Sneads, Florida 32460.
