Saturday, Dec. 20, Karen Barnhill, owner and broker of Southern Sky Realty of Florida, Inc. honored her team of real estate professionals with a gala dinner hosted by Leenette McMillan, proprietor of Le Chateau in Mayo.



Hors d’oeu-vres welcomed Karen’s team to an evening which unfolded into a superb time of fine dining and festive camaraderie. From New York strip to lobster tail, Karen’s guests were treated to some of the best dining Mayo has to offer. Barnhill lifted her glass to offer a heartfelt toast to her group and their spouses for their professionalism, loyalty and dedication which resulted in another multi-million dollar sales year.



The highlight of the night was the presentation to the top salesman, Jay Hershberger. Hershberger has been with the company only two short years and has garnered top salesman, both years. This year, Hershberger grossed nearly 1.5 million in sales. He was awarded a laptop computer for his efforts.



Sales associates, David Reaves, was presented with a palm pilot electronic organizer and portable data base as was office manager, Lori France. France will be sitting for her real estate sales associates exam sometime in January along with new recruits–Gwen Watkins, Ray Weber and Carrie Barnhill; which will triple the selling power of Southern Sky Realty of Florida, Inc.



Southern Sky has been serving the North Florida Board of Realtors district, totaling eight counties, since opening its doors in 2000. Southern Sky is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Florida Association of Realtors and Multiple Listing Services. As a member of good standing to these affiliations, Southern Sky commits to adhere to a superior code of ethics and service quality to its customers.



One year ago, Barnhill opened her first branch office in the Publix Shopping Center in Live Oak. Southern Sky Realty of Live Oak was the needed link to better service Suwannee, Columbia, Gilchrist, Madison and Hamilton counties.



Karen Barnhill has been nominated to serve on the 2004 Board of Directors for the North Florida Board of Realtors and was selected as Businesswoman of the Year by the National Republican Party in 2004.
