“This event is more than just an evening of entertainment — it’s an opportunity for the community to come together and support neighbors affected by Hurricane Helene. All proceeds from the event will go directly to relief efforts,” the city said.

Donations are encouraged to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts

“This concert represents the heart and soul of our community,” said Mayor Scott James Matheson. “After the devastation of Hurricane Helene, we have seen neighbors helping neighbors in so many ways. Sounds for Lowndes is another example of our city coming together, not only to enjoy great music, but to uplift and support those still in need. We are grateful to the artists, sponsors, and attendees for their dedication to helping us rebuild stronger than ever.”

Michael Smith, CEO of Greater Valdosta United Way, added, “The impact of Hurricane Helene has been overwhelming for many families, and we’re honored to be a part of this effort to help our community recover. Events like this highlight the strength and generosity of our city. We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the music, and give what they can to help those still struggling in the aftermath of this disaster.”
