Award winners to play Salty Snapper

VALDOSTA – Two 2015 Georgia Country Award winners will perform at Salty Snapper Saturday.

Matt Rogers and Megan Fowler recorded a duet called “Read My Mind” that can be heard on country radio stations throughout the state.

Individually, each singer has an impressive list of achievements.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International and CMT selected Rogers’ song, “I Was Raised,” for a songwriting achievement award. Rogers was a finalist in the Georgia Music Awards for country male artist and music video of the year. In November, he won overall artist of the year.

Fowler has been named Georgia Music Awards female artist of the year two years in a row and won Georgia Country’s Award for Female Artist of the Year in both 2013 and 2015.
