A Lafayette County school bus collided with another vehicle on Friday afternoon. Neither vehicle had passengers and both drivers avoided any injuries, however, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Ritchie Page, 58, Mayo, was driving the school bus north on Fletcher Avenue, the report states, when the collision occurred around 4:40 p.m.

The second driver, Thomas Ingram, 31, Fort White, failed to yield to Page, according to the FHP. He was driving his 1999 Ford Escort out from the Need Less Things store parking lot on 587 S Fletcher Ave.

The front driver side of the Escort hit the right passenger side of the bus. Ingram’s Escort traveled a short distance northwest, rotating clockwise before coming to a final stop in the northeast corner of the parking lot, the report states.
