Willie David Guest

Willie David Guest, 67, of Cecil, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at his home. He was born in Adel on Jan. 13, 1949, in Cook County to the late Ozzie W. and Sarah Manus Guest and had lived in Cook County all of his life. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and was a farmer and worked with the Cook County Road Department. Mr. Guest was an avid coon hunter, enjoyed mowing grass and being with family.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Brenda Wilkins Guest; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and David Rogers; his grandson, Zach Rogers, all of Cecil; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ozzie and Flo Guest, Tom and Kathy Guest, all of Cecil, Johnny and Kathy Guest of Sparks; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Dorothy Wilkins of Hahira, Jean Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; Sheila Wilkins Southall of Hahira; special friend who loved him like a mother, Bennie Jennings of Adel; special friends, Kay and Jeff Stalvey of Hahira, Faye and Rocco House of Macon. 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Addison; a brother, William “Pug” Guest; parents-in-law, William and Marie Wilkins; two brothers-in-law, Bill Wilkins and Steve Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery near Cecil. The family will receive friends today, Jan. 23 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
