The upcoming Presidential Preference Primary is the first election with new county district lines in Hamilton County. 

Redistricting started in 2012 when it came to the attention of the county that districts were out of balance. The new districts were ratified in May 2015.

All five county districts were changed. 

Supervisor of Elections Laura Dees said it is important that voters know if their district changed and what their new district is. The district dictates where a voter will go to vote and who they are voting for. 

District 1 begins where the Alapaha River intersects with the Florida State line; follow along the Alapaha River to County Road 150; follow CR 150 to Turket Creek to U.S. Hwy 41; follow U.S. Hwy 41 to Old U.S. Hwy 41; follow Old U.S. 41 to CR 141; follow CR 141 to CR 152; follow CR 152 to NW 49th Avenue’ follow 49th Avenue to NW 36th Loop; follow NW 36th Loop to CR 146; follow CR 146 to NW 40th Avenue; follow NW 40th Avenue to State Road 6; follow SR 6 to the Withlacoochee River; and follow the river to the State Line. 

District 1 voters will vote at Jennings City Hall or Precinct 7, which is the Bellville Volunteer Fire Department located at 1571 NW CR 145 in Jennings.

District 2 begins at the point where Interstate 75 crosses CR 152; follow I-175 to SR 6; follow SR 6 to U.S. Hwy 41; follow U.S Hwy 41 to SW 99th Avenue; follow SW 99th Avenue to CR 249; CR 249 to CR 158; CR 158 to Mitchell Creek; Mitchell Creek to Suwannee River; follow the Suwannee River to the Withlacoochee River; follow Withlacoochie River to SR 6; follow SR 6 to NW 40th Avenue; follow NW 40th Avenue to CR 146; follow CR 146 to NW 36th Loop; follow NW 49th Avenue to CR 152; then take CR 152 to I-75.

District 2 voters will vote at Precinct 5, which is Bright Pond Fellowship Hall at 6233 NW U.S. Hwy 41 in Jasper or Precinct 8 located at 5769 SR CR 141 in Jasper.

District 3 begins where NW 110th Drive intersects with CR 51; follow CR 151 to NW 39th Way; follow NW 39th Way to 1st Avenue NE; follow 1st Avenue NE to the Georgia Southern and Florida Railway; follow the tracks to Hatley Street; follow Hatley Street to Central Avenue SE; follow Central Avenue to U.S Hwy 41/U.S. Hwy 129; follow U.S Hwy 41/U.S. Hwy 129  to the point where the highways separate; proceed along U.S. Hwy 129 to I-75; follow I-75 to CR 249; follow CR 249, which turns into SW 99th Avenue; follow SW 99th Avenue to U.S. Hwy 41; follow U.S. Hwy 41 to 4th Street NW; follow 4th Street to 5th Avenue NW; follow 5th Avenue to the Georgia Southern and Florida Railway; follow the railway to NW 38th Drive; follow NW 38th Drive to NW 110th Drive; follow 110th Drive to where it intersects with CR 51. 

District 3 voters will vote at Precinct 2, located at the Jasper Courthouse.

District 4 begins where CR 6 intersects with the Suwannee River; follow the Suwannee River to Mitchell Creek; follow Mitchell Creek to CR 158; follow CR 158 to CR 249; follow CR 249 to I-75; follow I-75 to U.S. Hwy to SE 50th Drive; follow 50th Drive to CR 137; follow CR 137 to SE 62nd Drive; follow 62nd Drive to CR 135; follow CR 135 to CR 6; follow CR 6 to the Suwannee River.

District 4 voters will vote at Precinct 3 , which is the White Springs Health Clinic at 16811 Spring Street in White Springs or Precinct 6, which is the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department at 8448 SE 137th Blvd. in White Springs.

District 5 begins where the Suwannee River intersects with the Florida State Line; follow the Suwannee River to CR 6; follow CR 6 to CR 135; follow CR 135 to SE 62nd Drive; follow 62nd Drive to CR 137; follow CR 137 to SE 50th Drive, follow 50th Drive to U.S. Hwy 41/U.S. Hwy 129; follow U.S. Hwy 41/U.S. Hwy 129 to Central Avenue SE; follow Central Avenue to Hatley Street; follow Hatley Street to Georgia Southern and Florida Railway; follow Georgia Southern and Florida Railway to 1st Avenue; follow 1st Avenue to NW 39th Way; follow 39th Way to CR 51; follow CR 51 to  NW 110th Drive; follow 110th Drive to W 38th Drive; follow 38th Drive to Georgia Southern and Florida Railway; follow Georgia Southern and Florida Railway to NW 107th Avenue; follow 107th Avenue (which becomes 5th Avenue) to 4th Street NW; follow 4th Street to U.S. Hwy 41; follow U.S. Hwy 41 to SR 6; follow SR 6 to I-75; follow I-75 to CR 152; follow CR 152 to CR 141; follow CR 141 to Old U.S. 41; follow Old U.S. 41 to U.S. Hwy 41; follow U.S. Hwy 41 to Turket Creek; follow Turket Creek to CR 150; follow CR 150 to Alpha River; follow the river to the Florida State Line; follow the state line to the Suwannee River. 

District 5 voters will vote at Precinct 4 , which is the Jasper Civic Center at 1129 4th Street in Jasper.
