MAYO – Ann Tidwell, a former Deputy Supervisor of Elections was recognized for her service at the Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 9.

Tidwell started in 1989 with former Supervisor of Elections Lana Morgan O’Steen and worked with Supervisor of Elections Travis Hart for two years.

“I could not have looked the world over and found a better employee,” O’Steen said. “She was my right hand.”

Tidwell retired in January 2015.

“I’m very appreciative of her,” Hart said. “That office wouldn’t be where it is at right now, if it wasn’t for her.”
