The Live Oak Church of God hosted its 10th Annual Golf Tournament for missions April 24. Each year the church supports the youth department with raising money for missions. This year the church’s project was to send a team of 15 from the local congregation to Trinidad to minister to the people there. While in Trinidad, the missions team will lead church services with singing and preaching and will also conduct Children’s Church services.



The day of the tournament was beautiful as 44 golfers set out to win the tournament. The team that won first was made up of Bill Bozeman, Carey Lee, Dave Fernald and Brandon Fernald. Coming in second was the team of David Addis, Pieter Swart and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Weaver. In third place was the team of Terry O’Neal, Clarence LaClair, Jerry Upchurch and Bill White. After 18 holes of golf, the players were treated to a BBQ dinner served by the Missions Team. Prizes were awarded to all who attended.
