It included guidance on case selection and treatment planning. Bynum has been recognized as having a higher experience level with Invisalign treatment and has been named a premier provider, according to a press release.
He attended the refresher course for two days. “Reingage with Invisalign” was taught by Dr. David Galler and was held last month in Atlanta.
“Invisalign is a great way for people to be able to straighten their teeth,” Bynum said. “It is increasingly being used to assist patients who have periodontal disease to keep their teeth. It is also being used for bite correction and cosmetics. Invisalign treatment has increased 50 percent in the past five years. It is the future of orthodontics.”
Invisalign is virtually invisible aligners, which are made of a thermoplastic material. They look similar to teeth-whitening trays. A series of Invisalign aligners are custom-made to move teeth in the sequence determined, according to the press release. Most Invisalign treatment is completed within twelve months.
