During the investigation, the man told detectives he had been in an altercation with someone else, and the other man pulled out a knife and stabbed him, police said.
Detectives identified Clint McGlashan, 28, as the offender, according to the press release. Officers found McGlashan Tuesday night, interviewed him at the police department, then took him to the county jail, police said.
An arrest warrant for McGlashan on a count of aggravated assault was signed Wednesday, according to the press release.
“The Valdosta Police Department commends the quick response of our officers and paramedics to the scene to not only treat the victim, but to identify the offender and take him into custody,” said Lt. Adam Bembry with the police department.
