MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County High football player was one of two teenagers arrested Saturday after police said they found them at a construction site with younger teen girls.

Police were dispatched at about 5:15 p.m. to a report of “suspicious black males the woods” near a house under construction on Covey Lane, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

Officers met a group of five teen-agers — three males and two females — coming out of the woods who matched the description given by the anonymous caller, according to police.

When an officer spoke with Jamarius Zyquan Walker, he reportedly told police he and his 15-year-old year old girlfriend had just “hooked up” inside a vacant residence being built in the area.

Police said the girl also said the two had sex.

A 14-year-old girl reportedly told police that she had oral sex inside the house with a 19-year-old male in the group, which he denied. A 15-year-old boy told police he had just joined the group and was not inside the house at the time the alleged activity took place.

Police charged Walker, 17, 1107 10th Ave. S.E., with misdemeanor statutory rape. Walker was a starting cornerback with the Colquitt County Packers team that lost Friday in a state quarterfinal contest in Moultrie.

Under Georgia law, teenagers accused of having sex with a younger partner whose age difference is three years or less do not face felony charges.

Police charged Juantavion Dai’Jun Williams, 19, 2605 Seventh St., with child molestation and statutory rape, both felony charges.
