Reese the dog and Mars the cat are pleased to announce the upcoming wedding of their parents Kristin Nicole Finney and John Randall Patten, Jr. 

The bride-elect is the daughter of Doug and Sherry Finney and granddaughter of the late James and Sybil Williams and Roger and Louise Finney.

When not binging on trashy television shows, imbibing while sitting poolside or eating copious amounts of food, Finney graces The Valdosta Daily Times with her presence as managing editor.

The future groom is the son of Randy and Tina Patten and grandson of Donald and Emma Patten and Richard Browning and Hilda Hufstetler.

Lord of the ham radio, Patten, who decided to take a few moments out of his life of conspiracy theories and monster hunting, is a digital media technology instructor at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.

The couple will be forever bound in matrimony, for better or worse, on December 17 in Lakeland with many painted murals and unknowns in attendance. Not saying aliens — but aliens.
