HCHS students fundraising for Inauguration trip

- HCHS students plan to attend the 58th Presidential Inauguration.
JASPER — Hamilton County High School student government officers will attend the 58th Presidential Inauguration.
The inauguration of 45th President Donald Trump will be Jan. 20.

Student Government sponsor Horacio Perez said the desire for the trip was not was not birthed out of political preference, but out of desire to witness such a historical event and to give students an experience of a lifetime.
Fifteen students, grades 8-12, will be attending the event, along with five chaperones.
The students have been planning and fundraising since September.
The trip will be three days and the students are currently $3,000 shy of the needed funds.
