Atlanta, Ga. — Ms. Juanell Day Sherman, of Atlanta, is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Sherman to Robert (Bobby) Hewell Tate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Daniel Tate, of Thomaston. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcus M. Day of Greenville, Florida. The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Beasley Hewell of Fayetteville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clyde Tate of Thomaston.

Ashley is a 2007 graduate of Lowndes High School; 2011 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Education with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Science and a 2014 graduate of the University of North Georgia with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is currently employed by Piedmont Healthcare.

Bobby is a 2002 graduate of Upson Lee High School; 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia Terry College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems; 2016 graduate of the University of North Georgia with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is currently employed by Physiotherapy Associates.

A June wedding is planned at Wolf Mountain Winery in Dahlonega.
