DONALSONVILLE, Ga. — Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Brown of Donalsonville, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Cory Brown of Lake Park to Brandon Paul Beard of Lake Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Beard of Morgan, Ga.

The wedding will be held at 6 p.m. April 15, 2017 at Highgrove Farm in Valdosta. Invitations will be mailed.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dot Cook Wainwright and the late Mr. Alex Marvin Cook of Colquitt, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of Colquitt.

The future bride is a 2006 graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy. She is a 2012 graduate of Psychology from Valdosta State University. She is employed in Human Resources at Nestle Waters North America, Lee, Fla.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Dean Beard of Morgan and the late Mr. Vaughn and the late Mrs Gene Paul Johnson of Albany, Ga.

The future groom is a 2008 graduate of Randolph Southern. He is a 2013 Exercise Physiology graduate at Valdosta State University; and a 2016 graduate from Palmer Chiropractic College. He is employed at Mink Chiropractic Center in Valdosta as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
