VALDOSTA – State Rep. Amy Carter stars in the first public-service announcement of “Real Teachers, Real Voices” from Gov. Nathan Deal’s Office of Student Achievement.
Deal showed the video as part of his State of the State address, said Reg Griffin, chief communications officer of the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

“Real Teachers, Real Voices,” a series of videos, is a part of Deal’s initiative to promote new teachers, said Martha Ann Todd, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.
Todd said the videos will be 30-60 seconds.
“About every three weeks, we’ll have a new one,” she said. “We’ll actually be releasing another one next week.”
The videos will feature members of Deal’s teacher advisory committee, Todd said.
She said the videos will be available on Youtube and released to social media.
Carter was featured first because she is the head of the teachers advisory committee, Todd said.
