One suspect caught in Domino’s armed robbery

TIFTON, Ga.  — Domino’s Pizza located on 8th Street in Tifton was robbed at approximately 9:37 p.m. Jan. 3.

One suspect, Christopher Kadre Alexander, 22, of Tifton, was apprehended near the scene, and money and evidence from the robbery was recovered near where he was found.

The second robber has not been apprehended at this time.

According to a report from the Tifton Police Department, two black males armed with handguns and wearing dark clothing robbed the store, customers and employees before making their escape on foot.

The report states the two offenders ran into the business and pointed their guns at the people inside, ordering them to get down on the ground and to empty their pockets of valuables and to take off any jewelry.

According to officials, one offender grabbed the store manager and had him open the cash registers and put all the money into a bag. The offenders then fled, leaving the personal effects and jewelry behind and taking only the cash from the registers.
