DALTON, Ga. — A 19-year-old Dalton man who told a father he did not have sexual relations with the man’s 13-year-old daughter apparently didn’t hit the delete button on his phone after being caught in bed with the juvenile, according to a report from the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. 

Alexander Trevon White, 19, of 205 Cheyenne Trail, was charged Monday with child molestation and possession of computer or electronic

pornography after investigators found pictures of a sexually explicit nature featuring White and the juvenile. 

According to an incident report, the father of the girl was contacted by school officials after she had missed several days of school. The father went home and caught White and his daughter in bed together in their underwear. White and the daughter said they hadn’t had sex, and White left. 

Capt. Rick Swiney said when investigators searched White’s phone, photos of the two engaged in sexual acts were still on the phone. 

White remained in the Whitfield County jail Tuesday evening without bond.
