Julianne and Michael Crapps

Julianne Elaine Crapps, daughter of Mrs. Elaine Crapps and the late James M. Crapps of Live Oak, Florida and Michael James White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert White of Toronto, Canada were married January 7, 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Julianne’s maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Harwood Julian Evans, Sr. and her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Porter Claude Crapps, Jr., all of Live Oak. 

The honorable Jeff Barneson officiated over the ceremony which was held in the Massachusetts room of the Harvard Club. 

Serving as bridesmaids were Aimee Beall, Lynzi Chambers, Jenna Lee Hughes & Hailey Petway. Karine White, sister of the groom, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids wore floor-length black gowns and carried white rose bouquets. 

Groomsmen were David Boom, David Chan, Evan Crapps, brother of the bride, and Adam Stanek. Mike Miltenberger served as the best man. They wore black tuxedos. 

The bride was escorted by her cousin, Shawn Crocker, to Be Thou My Vision played by the string trio, Intermezzo Chamber Players. She wore a strapless champagne satin gown with an overlay of lace and carried white roses and gardenias, a tribute to her parents’ wedding, with evergreen wrapped in a handkerchief from her maternal great-grandmother. Her nephew, Wyatt Crapps, and cousin, Avery Beth Crocker, participated by bringing the officiant’s Bible down the aisle. 

The scripture reading was Ephesians 5: 21-33, read by Julianne’s aunt, Aileen Crapps. Prayers for favor, wisdom and devotion, unity, love and heritage were offered by members of the wedding party. 

The reception followed the cocktail hour in Harvard Hall lead in toasts by the groom, Mr. Robert White, father of the groom, and Mrs. Angela Wood, cousin of the bride. 

The bride is a 2005 valedictorian of Suwannee High School, a 2009 honor graduate of the University of Florida, and will receive her MBA in April 2017 from the Harvard Business School. Julianne was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. The groom is a 2009 honor graduate of the Ivey Business School of the University of Western Ontario and a 2016 Graduate of Distinction from Harvard Business School. 

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and will reside in San Francisco, California upon her graduation. Michael is a Vice President at TPG Capital and Julianne will work in Global Strategy for PepsiCo.
