The Orchard will serve up to 110 residents for assisted living, dementia, and memory-care needs and will include an art studio, outdoor fitness center, prepared meals and personal care, among other amenities.

Owners Fred and Martha McGill, both Valdosta State University graduates, call Lowndes County home. Martha has worked three decades in the health-care industry and Fred has worked four decades in the building industry, in Atlanta and Miami.

The McGills returned to Hahira after Martha’s father, the late Dan Edward Groselle Sr., fell ill and could no longer care for himself. Groselle was the inspiration for the facility, which was dedicated in his honor, Martha said.

The Orchard at Stone Creek is located on Highway 41 N. at 4900 Tillman Crossing and can be contacted by phone at 229-251-2201 or by e-mail mcgillcpa@bellsouth.net.
