The Alexander Cougars scored two runs on a walk-off double to beat the Valdosta Wildcats 6-5 in the decisive Game 3 of the second round of the Class 6A playoffs in Douglasville on Monday night.

The loss eliminated the Wildcats from the postseason. They finished with a 21-11 overall record, including a 7-5 mark in Region 1-6A.

The Cougars improved to 27-7 and advanced to play River Ridge in the quarterfinal round Wednesday.
