Colquitt County Health Dept. plans WIC Day

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Colquitt County Health Department is inviting qualified residents to its Hawaiian-themed Walk-In WIC Day scheduled for July 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Along with Hawaiian music and decorations, the event will also feature door prizes for participants.
Public Health’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program provides nutritional support and services for low-income families.
Those targeted for services include:
• Pregnant women.
• Breastfeeding mothers (up to one year).
• Infants and children aged one to 5 years (including foster children).
• Postpartum women (up to six months).
Those coming to Walk-In WIC day should bring the following documents:
• ID for themselves and their child: Driver’s license, Social Security card, immunization record or birth certificate.
• Proof of household income: Active Medicaid, paycheck stub, letter from employer or unemployment notice.
• Proof of street address: Electric bill, mortgage or rent receipt, cable TV or phone bill.
All information provided should be no more than 30 days old.
