Jessie Land Hopkins
Jessie Land Hopkins, age 88, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, in the Good Samaritan Center, Dowling Park, Florida, after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Dothan, Alabama, who had moved to Live Oak with her family at a very young age. Hopkins was a housewife and a charter member of Westwood Baptist Church, Live Oak.
Survivors include two daughters, Nelda (Tommy) Croft of Live Oak and Martha (Bob) Rutledge of Mobile, Ala.; one step-daughter, Stanley Hopkins of Tallahassee, Florida; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19 in Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Deas officiating. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.

Eliane Wadsworth
Eliane Wadsworth, 60, of McAlpin, Florida, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2006 in her home after a long illness. The Orbe, Switzerland native moved to McAlpin from Mayo, Florida, 12 years ago, was a homemaker, a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 196, Mayo and attended Live Oak Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Wadsworth of McAlpin; her father, Robert Butett and his son and daughter, Bernard and Monique, all of Orbe, Switzerland; three sons, Tommy, Mark and Randy Wadsworth, all of Melbourne, Florida; and two grandchildren, Carrie Pichard and Jason Wadsworth, both of Melbourne.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 20 in First United Methodist Church, Mayo with the Rev. Jim Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in Wayfair Cemetery, Mayo.

John A. Trueblood Sr.
John A. Trueblood Sr., 67, of McAlpin, Florida, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006 in his home. The Kokomo, Indiana native was a retired US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Trueblood retired as a supervisor in a Chrysler automotive plant and was of Protestant faith.
In March of 1958, he joined the US Navy. During his 20 years of service he served aboard the USS Uhlmann, USS Mahan, USS Fox and USS Dewey. Trueblood retired from the Navy in 1977. In 1978, he went to work for Kokomo Chrysler Transmission Plant and retired in 1993. Trueblood attended technical and academic schools through the military as well as through Chrysler. While employed for Chrysler, he taught electronics and math classes at IVY Tech in Kokomo. After retirement from Chrysler, Trueblood moved to McAlpin where he resided with his wife of 45 years. Trueblood loved working outside, playing on his computer and spending time with his family and friends. His grandchildren will always remember him for his patience, the stories he told and his goofy jokes. Trueblood was loved very much by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Marty Trueblood of McAlpin; one daughter, Kari Lea (Bobby Lee) Davis of Kokomo; two sons, John A. Trueblood Jr. and James Wencel (Michelle) Trueblood, both of Kokomo; one sister, Janet (Michael) Brankle of Kokomo; three brothers, Encil L. (Sandra) Trueblood, Bill (Midge) Trueblood and David L. Trueblood, all of Kokomo; daughters-in-law, Michelle Dowden and Felicia Watts; one nephew, Donald (Vivian) Davis of McAlpin; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; friend, Pauline Bowler; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lynn Trueblood and two brothers, Marvin and Robert D. Trueblood.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18 at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak, with the Rev. Bill Trueblood officiating.

Celia Gilmore
Celia Gilmore, 82, of Columbia, South Carolina and former resident of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006. She was born June 27, 1924 in Savannah, Georgia. Gilmore was formerly a co-owner of Gilmore’s Department Store in Live Oak, She was also a former member of Temple of Israel in Daytona Beach. Gilmore was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her son, Harvey Gilmore of Aspen, Colorado; daughters, Deborrah Weaver of Columbia, S.C. and Renee Barbara Boudrot of Atlanta, Georgia; and four grandchildren.

Bobby O. Brannan Sr.
Bobby O. Brannan Sr., 69, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 in his home after a long illness. The Suwannee County native was a US Army veteran and also served in the Florida National Guard. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Live Oak.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina (Regie) Rathbun and Gwen Brannan Boone, both of Live Oak; two sons, Bobby Brannan Jr. of Live Oak and Terry (Michelle) Brannan of McAlpin, Florida; two sisters, Ella Mae Bembry and Frances Woods, both of Live Oak; two brothers, Herman Brannan of Live Oak and Randall Brannan of Conroe, Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brannan; son, Tommy Brannan; and parents, Ethel and Heber Brannan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 21 in Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. David Teems officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
