VALDOSTA — Customers of Miller Hardware raised $930 through the company’s annual bucket sale to benefit the Greater Valdosta United Way.

During the week of the August event, customers could stop by Miller Hardware, 3137 N. Oak St. Ext., and purchase a five-gallon bucket for a $5 donation toward the 2018 United Way campaign. For everything that fit into the bucket while shopping, Miller Hardware extended 20 percent off the entire purchase.

Miller Hardware representatives said they hope the program drives community awareness to the Greater Valdosta United Way campaign, according to a United Way press release.

“The mission of the Greater Valdosta United Way is to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community,” according to the press release.
