Veterans Day events planned for Jasper, White Springs

JASPER — The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8095 with the help of the American Legion will be hosting a Veterans Day program on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m at Veterans Memorial Park.

The posting of the colors will be done by Hamilton County High School Air Force JROTC, who will also be performing a drill team demonstration. The HCHS band and choir will be performing patriotic songs throughout the program.

The guest speaker will be Retired US Navy Commander Bob Holdredge. As well as a special recognition of the AL Post 215 and VFW Post 8095.

On Nov. 11, a Veterans Day event will be held in White Springs at the Veteran’s Park, 16609 Spring Street.

The event will start at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow at the Community Center, 12760 Roberts Street.
