As Valdosta grows, businesses open, move, renovate and close down. The following is a list of recent business happenings in Lowndes County and the surrounding area.

HAHIRA

• Bombshells Boutique, 406 W. Main St., is set to open Feb. 3.

• Trendy Chic Boutique, 102 W. Main St., opened Jan. 8. It is expected to be open 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday; and 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. It will sell women’s clothing sizes four to 3X and women’s jewelry and accessories.

• South Georgia Repair and Maintenance, it does not have a physical address, is set to open Jan. 22. The company can do any sort of repair in a house except for electrical work. It is open 6 a.m.- 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call (229) 415-0102.

• The American Dream: A Real-Estate Company, 1306 Baytree Road, is set to open Feb. 19. It is a real-estate brokerage with an emphasis on sales. It will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

• Evan Gunn Design, it does not have a physical location and is a web-based business. The business is expected to open Feb. 1. The company does real-estate photography and graphic design. For more information go to evangunndesign.myportfolio.com.

• Ciao Bella SC Boutique, 103 S. Patterson St., Suite A, is set to open Jan. 20. It is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday. It sells women’s clothing sizes small to 3X and women’s jewelry and accessories.

• The Main Event, 3259 Inner Perimeter Road, Suite H, opened Jan. 16. The business holds 30-minute cardio kickboxing heart rate training. Call (229) 253-1291 for more information.

• La Placita, 1203 S. Patterson St., is expected to open in mid to late January. It is a Mexican grocery store and meat market.

• 3886 Bemiss Road has what appears to be a four-lot building being constructed next to Red Owl. There is a sign stating the building will be the new home of Endless Summer Tanning Salon.

• King’s Deli, 2117 Bemiss Road, is set to open in the next week and a half. It is a wing, Philly cheese steak and Korean hibachi restaurant. It is expected to be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m.-midnight Friday; and 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call (229) 293-3385

• Liquor Loft, 2541 Bemiss Road, is where the old Rutland’s Music building was located. The building is being remodeled and the sign for the business was recently put up.

• Zacadoo’s on Norman Drive has most of its walls built. It is expected to be completed around March.
