MOULTRIE, Ga. — Colquitt County Regional Medical Center unveiled the new Edwards Cancer Center Friday.
Members of the Edwards Family, hospital staff, and chamber members were present to commemorate the late Bill Edwards, for whom the facility is named.
The facility received a signature donation from the Edwards family, and employees were able to give through the hospital’s in-house giving program.
“Bill was not one to have his name in lights, but I know he would be proud of the facility they built,” said Bonnie Edwards.
The new facility features a private entry and patient parking close by, according to a press release from Emily Watson, marketing director for the hospital.
The center is complete with seven patient infusion bays with space for visitors to sit close to patients, two isolation rooms and two patient exam rooms.
Guests were invited to take a tour of the facility after the ribbon cutting.
