Brooks County takes down Turner County

The Brooks County baseball team knocked off Turner County 7-2 on Monday.

The Trojans (1-1) led 2-1 after three innings then poured it on down the stretch as they scored five runs in the sixth and seventh to cruise to the win.

Mac Perry led the Trojans’ bats, going 3-for-4 while scoring two runs and notching two RBIs. Donnie Sloan went 2-for-4 with three RBIs while Jacquez Jackson and Randall Smith scored two runs and got a hit apiece in the win.

Trojans pitcher Alex Munoz went 5 2/3 innings and struck out five Rebels (0-1).

The Rebels struggled at the plate as they recorded just four hits on 28 at-bats. Quandarious Ezell and Jacob Shiver each scored a run in the loss.
