VALDOSTA — If you’ve noticed the way economic development opportunities have been creeping up the roads in north Valdosta, you are not alone. The owners of Fox’s Pizza Den realized the opportunity and opted to capitalize on it before it passed.

B.J. Bond, Jennifer Bond and Gavin Braswell, owners of the Lake Park Fox’s Pizza, along with John Graham decided there was a place for their den on the 4900 block of Bemiss Road. Research showed that population in the metro Valdosta area was dense enough to support another Fox’s restaurant, so they chose a location several miles outside of the service territory of Sheldon Presser’s Fun Street store.

B.J. Bond and Graham believe that the flavor sets Fox’s apart from other pizza restaurants. The award-winning recipe for smooth sauce and original blend of cheese combine to make a mouth-pleasing pizza experience. They hear many compliments from customers who say the crust is very fresh and easy to eat.

“We hear a lot of people say it’s the best (pizza) they’ve ever had,” Graham said.

Pizza isn’t the only mouth-watering dish. Fox’s Pizza Den offers a wide selection of items in a variety of flavors, including salads, stromboli, gyros, wings, wedgies and hoagies. Deals are available almost every day, and all military personnel receive a 10 percent discount.

The owners believe that adding another Fox’s Pizza to the Valdosta area will only strengthen the name. They intend to provide quality service and 127 percent satisfaction.

“We are not afraid to give to our customers,” Graham said. “We will go out of our way to make them happy.”

Q: What is Fox’s Pizza Den?

A: It is more than just a pizza shop — we have a wide variety on our menu. It is friendly and comfortable, a great place to spend time with family or friends.

Q: Why did you choose to open a Fox’s Pizza Den?

A: It is a very owner friendly franchise, more like a family. There isn’t a lot of corporate pressure so owners have a lot more freedom. We chose our located because of the projected development in this area. The population is thick and we wanted to add variety for residents.

Q: How has business been?

A: It has been good and on the rise. It shows fantastic potential.

Q: Are prices competitive?

A: Yes, very much.

Q: Do you deliver?

A: Yes, for a $2 charge (it goes straight to the driver for gas). We can deliver as far north as Ray City and as far south as Forrest Street Extension.

Q: Do you do birthday parties?

A: Yes, just call in advance to reserve seats.

Q: What are your goals?

A: Right now, we are really just getting started. In the future we may seek a license for distributing alcohol. We are also looking into building a deck and adding some games for kids. We are really looking for feedback from our customers in order to determine what the best improvements would be.

Q: What should people know?

A: They can always expect the finest quality. We will try to greet everyone with a smile as we make it right with friendly service in an enjoyable atmosphere. Bear with us through our growing pains as we try to make this restaurant the best it can be. Please tell us what you think, we are open to suggestions.
