The report states a 21-year-old woman was driving a 2012 Honda Acura north on Lake Laurie Drive, and the 18-year-old Foster was driving a Honda Accord west on Oak Street Extension.

There was one passenger with Foster who had to be life-flighted to Tallahassee, Fla., in serious condition, according to GSP Cpl. Ryan Harding.

Harding said the Acura driver and two of her passengers were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Foster recently graduated from Lowndes High School and was a player for the Vikings.

An investigation into the collision is still open. Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene.

Possible charges are pending completion of the investigation.
