Vikettes take loss vs. Hawks at state softball tournament

The Lowndes softball team took a 6-3 loss against the Mill Creek Hawks at the GHSA Class 7A state tournament in Columbus on Thursday.

The Vikettes play Grayson at 12:30 p.m. today in the double-elimination tournament.

Rylin Hedgecock pitched 6 innings and had two hits and two RBIs at the plate for the Vikettes on Thursday. 

Mill Creek pulled ahead 4-2 after the second inning. Both teams added a run in the fourth and the Hawks added another in the sixth.
