As Valdosta grows, businesses open, move, renovate and close down. The following is a list of recent business happenings in Lowndes County and the surrounding area.
VALDOSTA
• Piggly Wiggly, 1105 Madison Highway, is expected to open around April. The location was previously a Winn-Dixie that closed around April of last year. The building is currently being renovated.
• Enmarket, 101 W. Northside Drive, has its gas pumps under construction.
• Livi & Company of Valdosta with Dustin Van Fleet Designs, 100 N. Ashley St., has “coming soon” painted onto its windows. The painted signs also suggest that business will host designs by Dustin Van Fleet.
• Chicago Fire Dogs, 1573 Baytree Road, is expected to open between Jan. 21-25.
• DuMealz, 3205 Inner Perimeter Road, has relocated to the inside of ICE House Gym. DuMealz is a healthy meal preparation business. It is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (844) 386-5259.
• Stoner’s Pizza Joint, 1211 Baytree Road, is now open.
• Valdosta Dental Associates, 103 W. Cranford Ave., has put up signage for a new location at 3119 N. Oak St. Ext.
• Cinnaholic Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls, 1609 Norman Drive, Suite A 2, has a coming soon sign outside of it.
• 3645 Inner Perimeter Road, Friendly Express Gas Station, is under construction. The business is at the intersection of Inner Perimeter Road and Bemiss Road.
REMERTON
• 1853 W. Gordon St. is under development for a mixed-use development that will feature multi-family residential and commercial properties.
• 1415 Baytree Road is under development for an indoor storage facility.
