THOMASVILLE — Two Thomas County men are charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl at the residence of one of the suspects.

John Golding and Desmond Jones admitted having sex with the girl at Jones’ Rabkin Lane residence, said Lt. Tim Watkins, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office chief investigator.

“Apparently, (Mr.) Golding knew the victim and took her to the residence where (Mr.) Jones was, and they both had sex with her,” Watkins said.

The incident was reported to law enforcement by someone who overheard a conversation about the activity, Watkins said.

The victim underwent a forensic interview and a sexual assault examination at The Tree House.

Jones, 32, is charged child molestation and statutory rape. Golding, 18, who lives on Glem Drive, is charged with statutory rape.
