VSU baseball, softball weekend schedule altered

VALDOSTA –– Due to the potential for inclement weather this weekend, Valdosta State has moved its baseball and softball series against Union University to Sunday and Monday.

Both teams now will play doubleheaders beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday and each will have a single game Monday at 3 p.m. at Billy Grant Field at Tommy Thomas Park and at Steel’s Diamond at Blazer Park.

The baseball team is 10-6 overall and 1-2 in Gulf South Conference play, while the Blazer softball team is No. 4 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25. The Blazer softball team is 10-2 and 2-1 in conference play.
