A much anticipated and exciting day for all of Hamilton County is slated Sunday, July 18, with the dedication of the new Hamilton County High School located on US 129, three miles south of Jasper.
A dedication and open house is planned, beginning with a brief program at 3 p.m. Tours of the new 75-acre facility will be given and refreshments will be served during the program.
The secondary educational complex will consist of 14 buildings, constructed in a open court concept. The new buildings are equipped with the latest technology and campus-wide security, both internal and perimeter.
Dual enrollment classes will be accommodated at the new facility, through a partnership with North Florida Community College of Madison. In addition, evening classes will be available to students, who would otherwise have to travel to nearby counties for their class studies.
