VHS wrestling finishes runner-up at 6A State Duals

- Submitted PhotoThe Valdosta High wrestling team finished runner-up at the GHSA Class 6A State Duals meet on Saturday. The Buford Wolves held off the 'Cats for the state title.
Fresh off of another Region 1-6A Championship, the Valdosta High School wrestling team nearly claimed a state championship over the weekend.
The Wildcats finished second behind the Buford Wolves in the 6A Duals finals. The team defeated Cambridge 66-12 to reach the semifinals, then knocked off the Brunswick Pirates 38-30 to reach the championship round.
