VALDOSTA — Need a car wash but don’t feel like getting out in traffic to get one? Anthony Williams has just the service for you.

His Williams Mobile Detailing crews will come to your location, whether it be your office, place of business, home or wherever, and will wash your car, truck, SUV, boat or RV.

Williams started the mobile detailing service about three months ago, and now has two mobile vans and four full-time employees.

He started Williams Construction Job Site Cleanup Service in 2004 after seeing that construction crews working at building sites were leaving debris that needed to be taken to the landfill.

“I was working for Mackey Lumber Company for five years, and while I was delivering lumber to the building sites, I’d see all this debris lying around,” Williams said. “So I asked a couple of the contractors if I could work to clean up the debris. One thing led to another, and I started my own cleanup business. Now I have two trucks working on the cleanup business.”

The cleanup business also will do cleanup preparation for someone who is selling a home or is moving into a home.

Williams then decided to add on the detailing business. He had been detailing vehicles on the side for friends and associates independently, but decided he could make a go of it with a licensed business. Both businesses are licensed and insured. He also has a drug-free workforce policy and operates his shop in the 3300 block of Bemiss Road behind a strip mall.

Car washes — including outside wash, interior cleaning and a free fragrance — go for $20 for cars and $25 for SUVs and trucks.

On Saturdays, Williams gives back to the community by offering 10 free car washes in the parking lot of Mackey Lumber at 3117 N. Oak St. Extension. He also operates Senior Citizen Discount Saturday, offering free car washes to anyone 55 or older. On Wednesdays, it’s Lady’s Day, and women can get their cars washed and waxed for $35, a savings from the regular $65 cost. If she drives a truck or SUV, the cost is knocked down from $65 to $45.

“My motto is ‘Get It Right The First Time’ for customer satisfaction,” Williams said.

Business has been good; Williams says he enjoys his independence and is surprised at how well the community of Valdosta has supported him. “I feel very blessed,” he said.
