VALDOSTA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Remerton Police Department have issued a BOLO seeking help in identifying individuals questioning in connection to the homicide investigation of Brianna Long.
The “be on the lookout” alert issued Friday three men for the shooting that occurred outside the Remerton club called The Pier on Sunday, Oct. 29.
The release said the three unknown individuals are only wanted for questioning and were last seen in the photos located in the Baytree Place shopping plaza the day of the incident.
The altercation resulted in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old bartender Long. She and another employee were finishing closing the bar when she was struck from gunfire outside, the GBI said.
Long’s family and area residents mourned the loss of Long, from Dallas, Ga., who was pursuing dental hygiene at Valdosta State University and was taking her clinical courses on the campus of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.
VSU students held a candlelight vigil in Brianna’s memory in early November on the campus’ front lawn. Students gathered signing a VSU banner in honor of her passing.
Her family continues to seek the community’s support through a GoFundMe fundraiser to help alleviate financial stress or costs to honor her memory.
