Lawmen seek subject in Lowndes Waffle House robbery

VALDOSTA — Authorities are searching for a man in connection with a late Thursday night restaurant robbery.
Between 11:55 p.m. Thursday and 12:05 a.m. Friday, the Waffle House at I-75 Exit 22 was robbed at gunpoint, a Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office statement said.
The man being sought arrived and left in a black Nissan Rogue; the year of make and tag number are unknown. He is believed to have headed north on I-75 after the robbery. No warrants have yet been issued, the statement said.
The subject was described as a White male, with a light brown goatee, wearing a green teeshirt with the words “Sunshine Cannabis” written on the front in yellow writing, black jogging pants, white tennis shoes, a black beanie cap, black framed glasses, 6-foot-1 in height, weight about 220 lbs., the sheriff’s office said. The man was believed to have been armed with a handgun inside a tan bag.
