“I’m looking forward to seeing how well we progressed throughout the spring as well as what we can improve on heading into camp at the end of the summer,” said head coach Tremaine Jackson.
The Blazers are coming off a 12-2 GSC Championship-bearing season in 2023. VSU went 7-1 in Gulf South Conference play and shared the league-title with Delta State. The Blazers paved their way through the post-season before falling to Lenoir-Rhyne in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
This upcoming season marks Jackson’s third campaign with Valdosta State as the 11th head coach in program history. Last season, Jackson was the only Black head coach to win their respective conference title in every division outside of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
