— Lake Park now has a third Mexican restaurant. Tacos My Friend Mexican Grill is up and running at 101 W. Marion Ave., next to a garage.

— A home furnishing store has taken over the old location of Bed, Bath & Beyond at the Valdosta Mall. HomeGoods is part of a store chain founded in 1992 in Framingham, Mass.

— I’ve been asked about the Family Dollar store at 1905 N. Ashley St., which appears to be closed. According to the company’s website, the closure is only temporary, though why it is closed is unknown.
