The inauguration of the GHCC’s Business Network Group South Georgia event will take place on March 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Georgia Chamber Center for Rural Prosperity, located at 1001 Love Ave in Tifton. This milestone marks a significant step in the efforts to expand access and opportunities through resources, collaboration, and connections through quarterly BNG meetings for Hispanic businesses in the area and the broader community, the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce said in a press release.

“The GHCC is committed to providing support to local Hispanic small businesses in response to the growth in South Georgia and across the state. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the evolving tapestry in South Georgia through the establishment of the new satellite office centrally located in Tifton. With the support of our stakeholders, South Georgia local chambers, and other regional partners, we look forward to building a strong and resilient Hispanic business ecosystem. As a starting point we will deliver ELEVA, a nine-week business development accelerator program, in Spanish to meet the linguistic needs of the community brought by GHCC’s educational arm; the Hispanic Business Center (HBC). We feel grateful to work with our dedicated partners to unleash economic opportunities in the region through the Hispanic lens,” expressed Veronica Maldonado-Torres, president and CEO of GHCC.

The launch will be attended by small businesses and special guests and is open to the public, including representatives from the local business community, leaders, and government officials.

Finally, the official launch of the “Forty into the Future Tour” commemorating GHCC’s 40th anniversary will share insights into the future projections of impact on Hispanic communities. This tour, spanning multiple cities in Georgia, aims to address the growing impact and significance of the economic growth of the Hispanic community.
