VALDOSTA — In February, Valdosta welcomed a new fitness hub, The Off Season Gym, founded by Mitchell Bell. The gym is open 24 hours a day, providing round-the-clock access for fitness enthusiasts of all ages.

Bell, a former personal trainer with nine years of experience and a former college football player at Western Carolina University, brings his expertise and passion for fitness to this new venture. His vision for The Off Season Gym is to create an environment where one can pursue their fitness goals, no matter their schedule.

Bell attributes the development and success of the establishment to his faith, stating, “God is good. If you work at it long enough, put your head down, and grind, there’s nothing he won’t do for you or can’t do for you. It’s hard to fail when you don’t give up.”

Bell and the gym’s mentality stems from Galatians 6:9, which emphasizes perseverance and hard work. This biblical scripture inspires their approach to physical and mental fitness, linking it to the key phrases Sow, Reap, and Harvest. This focus encourages gym members to stay committed, knowing their perseverance will eventually lead to significant, tangible results.

The gym is designed with positivity and inclusivity at its core. The caring and knowledgeable staff are not just there, they are dedicated to helping members achieve their personal fitness milestones, offering personalized advice and encouragement every step of the way.

Eldon Raison, a member of The Off Season, admires what Bell has done for the community through his actions and business.

“To see the way this guy is with everybody that comes into the gym, it’s different. He’s got something really great going on with the place and these kids. It’s something that represents Valdosta,” said Raison.

In addition to its professional equipment and access, The Off Season Gym hosts various fitness events tailored for kids and the broader community. The gym offers numerous activities, including youth conditioning camps and athlete preparation for combines, promoting health and wellness across all age groups. The gym’s commitment to community engagement and healthy living is evident in its diverse array of activities.

As The Off Season Gym grows, it remains dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive fitness community. Whether a seasoned athlete, a busy professional looking for a convenient workout schedule, or a family seeking fun and fitness together, The Off Season Gym at 3143 N Ashley St, Suite C, welcomes with open arms and positive vibes.
