Imogene G. “Jean” Downing

Imogene G. “Jean” Downing, 70, of Live Oak, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2004 in Jacksonville, FL. The Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee native moved to Live Oak from Bartow, FL in 1975, worked at Suburban Gas Company for twenty years and was a member of Luraville Baptist Church, Luraville, FL.



Survivors include two daughters: Betty Jean Kelly, Lakeland, FL and Phyllis Ledford, Newnan, GA; one son: James Ivey Downing, Interlachen, FL; six sisters: Belle Roberts, Lakeland, FL, Susie Smith, Newnan, GA, Alexiene Wright, Nashville, TN, Doris Collier, Fayetteville, GA, Jackie Mixon, Jasper, GA, and Kathleen Carlson, Tampa, FL; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.



In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to Luraville Baptist Church, 20309 180h Street, Live Oak, FL 32060.



Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Daniels Memorial Chapel, Live Oak, with Rev. Shawn Johnson, officiating. Interment followed in Day Cemetery, Day, FL.



Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak was in charge of all arrangements.



Clifford Catherine Folsom



Mrs. Clifford Catherine Folsom, a homemaker, age 86, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at Shands Health Care in Live Oak. A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late John Preston Lynch and Alice Naomi (Floyd) Lynch. She worked for Independent Life Insurance Company for about 10 years. Mrs. Folsom was a member of the Mayo Baptist Church and a past member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary. Her husband, Woodrow Wilson Folsom, preceded her in death.

Survivors include; 1 daughter; Helen Catherine Gonzalez, of Mayo, 5 sons; Howell Leroy (Ruth Ann) Folsom, of Lake City, Howard Wilson (Patricia Ann) Folsom, of Jena, FL., Harvey Preston Folsom and James Harlow (Willie Jean) Folsom, both of Mayo, and Harry Joseph (Patricia) Folsom, of Live Oak. 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great, great, grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews also survive her.



Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004 at Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Mayo. Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery. Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Burns Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park, FL.
