Lowndes wins twice at Thomasville

THOMASVILLE — Lowndes basketball teams won both varsity games Tuesday night at Thomasville.
The Vikings withstood a 21-point fourth quarter from the Bulldogs for a 56-52 victory. Isaiah Camon led a trio of Lowndes scorers with 17 points. Tarrell Green Jr. scored 14 and Kam Jackson tossed in 13.
Lowndes led 30-15 at halftime and 44-31 after three periods. Their record improves to 11-7.
It was no such stress to the Vikettes, who are now 14-1 after a 73-27 thundering of Thomasville.
Fairly close at 17-10 after a quarter, Lowndes exploded to outscore Thomasville 43-16 over the next two quarters.
Lowndes is to host Camden County at 6 p.m. Friday in a Region 1-6A matchup. Saturday has non-region games against Creekside High of Fairburn. A special tipoff time will be 5 p.m. for the girls.
Creekside shall be huge matchup for the Vikettes as they are currently 17-0. Most recently, the Lady Seminoles blasted M.L. King Jr., 85-12.
