REMERTON — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has charged two Lowndes County men in the deadly shooting of a bar employee 16 months ago.
The GBI announced Tuesday evening that Tsion Clayton, age 23, and Kimone Green, age 21, have each been charged with one count of malice murder in connection to the death of Brianna Long on Oct. 29, 2023.
Long and another employee were shot early that morning as they closed up The Pier Bar in Remerton. Long died of her injuries, and the other employee has recovered, the GBI said.
Both Clayton and Green are in custody for separate, unrelated cases, one in Georgia and the other in Florida, the GBI said.
Agents believe the men were in Remerton the morning of the shooting looking for another person related to an ongoing gang dispute. Additional charges are expected in this case as it moves forward, the GBI said.
