Langdale Hall, c. 1969, was a dormitory housing 500 female students at Valdosta State College. The building was named after Harley Langdale Jr., a forester and 1936 graduate of the University of Georgia, who said the secret to business was hard work. Mr. and Mrs. Langdale lived most of their married life in the same house on North Patterson Street.
